Workshops
We have three workshops at the conference, they are filling up quickly but there is still time to register.
They are being held simultaneously on Wednesday 5th November at University of Applied Science, Tafelbergweg 51, 1105 BD, Amsterdam, so please only register for one. They are half price if you are also registered for the conference.
You will also get a chance to interact with our vendors.
Workshop 1
Applying ACE-V in Forensic Examinations
Trine Edvardsen, Danish National ID Centre
This workshop is appropriate for all forensic practitioners and provides insight into how the ACE-V methodology can be used by any forensic practitioner.
The workshop aims to provide participants with an understanding of the ACE-V methodology and its relevance to forensic disciplines. It includes an overview of the ACE-V process, tools such as observation checklists, a decision model for conclusion scales, and case studies analyzing faces or fingerprints.

Seeing is Believing
Dutch National Police
This practical session lets participants work on mock crime scenes using VR and other tools. Academics and students are also encouraged to register.
An interactive workshop offering insights into forensic visualization and work processes, from recording at the crime scene to presentation in court.

Workshop 3
Forensic Gait Analysis: Stage One Training
Professor Ivan Birch and Dr. Nadia Asgeirsdottir
This workshop covers the human locomotor process, observational gait analysis from CCTV footage, report writing, and forming conclusions and confidence indicators. Attendees should have professional experience of gait analysis and/or comparative forensic work.
