About Ray
Ray Kane retired in 2023 as a Detective Sergeant after 31 years’ service with the Irish Police Force (An Garda Síochána).
He spent the previous 25 years working as both a Major Crime Scene Examiner and as a Fingerprint Expert within An Garda Síochána’s Fingerprint Department and with Forensic Science Ireland.
He is now working as a Consultant Expert Witness with Ray Kane Forensics, providing expert testimony and education/training.
He is a member of the Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences and is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the European Division of the International Association for Identification.
