CALL FOR PAPERS AND POSTER PRESENTATIONS
Call for abstracts.
Papers are now being accepted for the 2026 EU IAI conference in Tallinn on 18th -19th June 2026.
We are accepting the following types of presentation:
30-minute presentations which can be forensic science research or practice based.
15-minute presentations which may be more early-stage introductory research, student projects or more limited case studies.
“FROM CRIME SCENE TO COURT”
Papers are encouraged in relation to all forensic topics including but not limited to fingerprints, footwear and gait analysis, crime scene investigation, odontology, DNA and forensic biology, all identification disciplines, digital forensics, photography and Biometrics. These should not be commercial presentations.
We also welcome poster submissions from across the community and will have a dedicated poster area. Posters covering topics in all the areas described above, research or practice based are acceptable.
We particularly encourage 15-minute presentations and posters from students and early career researchers or those who may be new to the forensic community.
All proposals must be submitted by April 15th 2026.

Accepted posters must be printed and brought to the conference by the presenter. Posters should include references with clear headings and illustrations.
Anyone can submit a poster but only students will get student registration rate. Further specifications about poster presentations will be sent to successful authors after the results date.
Terms
The submission of an abstract indicates an understanding of the following rules for participation in EUIAI:
- The work contained within the file is your own, or the work of a group to which you are directly associated.
- The submitting author has the permission of all co-authors to publish the data contained within the file and will supply related contributions for the submission.
- Acknowledgement that if accepted for a presentation at the symposium a paid registration will be required from the presenting author.
- The author(s) agree(s) to materially confine their presentations to information in the abstract if accepted for presentation.
- The presenting author will be available to present the abstract if selected for the program. The presenting author will immediately notify the EUIAI if they are unable to present an abstract or if the presenting author changes.
- All authors of the abstract warrant and represent that they either are the sole owners of, or have all necessary rights to, sublicense all the information and content in the abstract provided to the EUIAI and its organisers, and that publication of the abstract does not infringe any rights, including but not limited to, intellectual property rights, or of any third parties.
- Understand that by submitting your abstract you are granting the EUIAI the right to reproduce and/or communicate (make available online) the file that I have submitted for the conference.
- Understand that the EUIAI are not liable for any legal action or costs pertaining to action sought on publishing or reproducing this file.
- EUIAI reserves the right to remove any abstract that does not comply with the above.
